We had a great time at King Richard's Faire today with my wife and 3 year old son. The venue has changed this year and for a first year at the new location it was an excellent experience. All of the shows and food we had was great. The pulled pork nachos were especially good. My son got to meet the king and was the highlight of his day. We arrived at 10:30am and traffic and parking took about 20 extra minutes. All staff was friendly and I'm sure next year and each following year the new venue will expand and additional character will be felt. Prices are high but with realistic financial expectations you'll enjoy your time. 9/10 would recommend

King Richard's Faire is always a highlight of the season! I absolutely loved attending on Bridgerton Day — it was pure magic from start to finish! Between the elegant Regency-inspired costumes, the lively performances, and the enchanting fairytale atmosphere, it truly felt like stepping into another world. The cast and vendors were all incredible, and every corner had something fun to discover — from jousts to jewelry to the most delicious turkey legs! Bridgerton Day added such a royal flair, with everyone dressed to impress and fully in character. Can't wait to return next year — it's one of those experiences that never loses its charm! 👑✨

A nice but expensive renaissance faire! It was our first time at a ren faire so we don't have anything to compare it to, but there was a nice mix of performers, shopping, and games/rides. There are several stages and each one has rotating shows. We enjoyed the loud mime, unicycler, and the aerial stunts. The joust was also a lot of fun. The food is a little expensive and not anything amazing, but the root beer float was really good! There's a good variety of vendors but as expected for handmade goods, many things were expensive. It was a really fun day and we spent over 5 hours there, but for $52/ticket I don't know that we'd go again. Our number one complaint was that water bottles were $5. We read online that you can bring an empty bottle to fill up, but we couldn't find any fill stations. Especially on a hot day, it's almost unsafe to have such expensive water and no other option. Parking was free and easy to get in and out. There were porta potties in a few different spots around the faire ground. We were there on a nice weather day but it still wasn't overly crowded and very enjoyable.

Had a wonderful time, wish I'd gone down the night before so we could have stayed all day. Quite expensive admission, but we were able to get a discount via Groupon. There were a lot of great performances and great live music! Really loved the bagpipes. It's a difficult place to be a vegan, and no outside food or drink is allowed in. Pizza for my niece was $12 for the slice. The vendors were absolutely amazing. Next year I'll bring much more money to shop with. Great quality products! Parking was free, so that a huge plus.

King Richards faire is magic. The new location is beautiful and growing every day! The same beautiful, kind, welcoming faces wait to welcome you into Carvershire where you will find magic, mischief and wonder. So many beautiful shops, acts, ride, games and food ($) are to be found here. There truly is something for everyone. It can be pricy, but it doesn't have to be, there are sale days for bogo tickets and plenty of affordable shopping options. If you have never been to a Renaissance festival before, don't be overwhelmed, you will feel right at home here. Order your tickets ahead of time and get there early.

All your questions answered?
The lowest price of the year is waiting.
What if it rains?

King Richard's Faire is rain or shine, and the realm keeps right on celebrating, much of the fun is under cover or carries on regardless. We open in nearly all weather, so plan to come and make a day of it.

What's included with my ticket?

Your admission covers it all: every stage show, all three daily jousts, the artisan marketplace, and the run of 200 acres, dozens of performances across the day at no extra charge. The only things that cost a little more are food and drink, the games and rides in the Gaming Glen, and anything you take home from an artisan.

Is there enough for young kids?

Plenty. Between the jousting knights, the fairies and characters roaming the lanes, the games and rides, the pony rides, and treats around every corner, there's a full day here for little ones, and kids under 4 get in free. Most families tell us the hard part is fitting it all in.

Can I bring my own food, or should I budget for meals?

Outside food and drink aren't permitted (with exceptions for medical needs and infants), but there's hearty fare all over the realm, from the famous turkey legs to sweets for the kids. Budgeting a bit for a meal and a treat or two is part of the day.

How long should we plan to stay?

Most guests spend the better part of a day here, four to six hours is typical, and many still don't see everything. Come when the gates open at 10:30 to get the most out of it, and don't miss the marquee joust at 5.
