When is King Richard’s Faire open?
Our 42nd season is open weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) and Monday holidays from September 2nd – October 22rd, 2023.

Faire hours are from 10:30 am until 6:00 pm. and parking is free.

How much are the tickets?
Limited tickets are available at the front gate.
Adult (ages 12+): $39
Children (ages 4- 11): tbd
**Children 3 and under are FREE and do not require a ticket.**

*Ticket price does not include the online convenience fee per ticket

What is the advantage of purchasing your ticket(s) online?
Tickets purchased online may be purchased with a credit card. King Richard’s Faire only accepts cash at the gate for admission and food/beverage tickets.
You can print your tickets out at home and walk right through our gate or keep the ticket on your mobile device and have it scanned as you walk through our gate.

**Make sure you download and print your tickets before arriving. Wi-Fi can be unreliable!

What if I have a group? How do I buy tickets?
Group discounted rates begin with 25 or more adults.
Group purchases must be made over the phone by calling our corporate office @ 952-238-9915 (November-July) and the Faire site office @ 508-866-5391 (August-October) or via email by contacting info@kingrichardsfaire.net.

What is included with my ticket?
Once you have finished your journey from our FREE parking lot and entered the gates to escape YOUR reality in Carvershire, you will be greeted with a complimentary guide of the realm. It lists all of the locations, attractions, and food/beverages the Faire has to offer. With eight stages, a tournament field for jousting, lots of street entertainment, and performances all included with your admission, you’ll have so much to do and see!

• All food and beverages are purchased with FOOD tickets ONLY. Food and beverage tickets can be purchased at one of the four kiosk booths located throughout the Faire.
• Games and rides must be purchased with cash only.
• Amazing wares purchased from our talented artisans can be purchased with Lady Visa or Master Card.

What if the weather is bad and I’ve already bought my ticket online?
Rain or shine, the Faire tries to remain open and continue with its normal operation. Just as with outdoor professional sports venues, unless the weather is dangerous for our guests and participants, we remain open. The tickets purchased are valid, honored, and non-refundable. We update our website and Facebook page IF the Faire is unable to open due to weather. Please feel free to call our Faire office at 508-866-5391.


How do I get to King Richard’s Faire?
The Faire is located at 235 Main Street, Carver, MA 02330 (Rt. 58).

From Boston:
Take 93 South to Route 3 South to exit 16 (44 west) to Route 58/Carver exit. Follow our signs and they will lead you to the gate.

From Providence:
Take 95 South to 195 East to 495 North to exit 2 (Route 58) and follow our signs. They will lead you to the gate.

Is parking free?
The Faire offers free parking to all customers.

Gate Restrictions:

Can I bring weapons or toy weapons to the FAIRE, or as part of my costume?
No weapons (blades, firearms, explosives, etc.) are allowed on Faire grounds. While we do have artisans who sell real weaponry, we do not allow those weapons to be brandished around the grounds. Any weapons purchased within the Faire grounds must remain within the original packaging when purchased. Costume weapon adornments are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Can I bring drinks or food into the Faire?
No, there is no outside food or beverage allowed into the Faire.

Can I bring my pet/animal to the Faire?
No, while we are an outdoor event, we do not allow pet animals into the Faire grounds. Dogs that are trained and legally identified as working service animals are the exception.

Is smoking permitted within the Faire? Are electronic cigarettes/vapors allowed?
No, King Richard’s Faire is a smoke-free event.

Does the Faire take credit/debit cards? Are ATMs located on the Faire grounds?
Yes, most of the King Richard’s Faire artisans and vendors accept credit/debit cards including our Remembrance Shoppe. We also have 3 ATM machines located inside the front gate, two outside the front gate, and one in our Remembrance Shoppe.

Does the Faire rent or sell costumes?
Yes, King Richard’s Faire has a wide variety of artisan shops that sell different 16th-century apparel. If you wish to rent a costume for the day, Seams Like A Dream is located inside the front gate and rents adult and children’s costumes for a fee.
